The International Academies of Emergency Dispatch® (IAED™) and Priority Dispatch® are pleased to release ProQA v5.1.1.38 (10/27/2020) Maintenance Release with many IAED protocol updates as well as software enhancements. We'll walk you through some key updates below.

REQUEST ProQA v5.1.1.38

MPDS v13.3.157 (10/5/2020) UPDATE

  • New questions/instructions for a single rescuer have been added on Protocol 9. If the single rescuer is not easily able to get the defibrillator, ProQA will proceed to the regular CPR instructions in the appropriate Panel.
  • The KQ "Can you see any part of the baby now?" on Protocol 24 has new and updated answer choices.
  • Panel K-4 “Floodwaters” instructions have been changed to match the FPDS.
  • The instructions on the CPR Compressions PAI Panels have been adjusted to improve the transition to the Compressions Monitor.

FPDS v7.1.76 (9/18/2020) UPDATE

  • Resolved send of code 53-B-3 without a suffix.
  • The "sick or injured" KQ on Protocol 78 has been worded more appropriately per incident type.
  • New Case Exit "Amputation" instructions have been added, along with a DLS Link to them on several protocols.
  • Title of Protocol X in the PAI Target Tool now incorporates Bleeding Control and Burn Treatment.

PPDS 6.2.131 (9/23/2020) UPDATE

  • A new Protocol T: Tourniquet has been added to help stop life‐threatening external hemorrhage from limb injury. Panel X-6 has been changed to incorporate Protocol T links.
  • The "need medical attention" KQ has been moved earlier in the sequence, prior to a dispatch point, on Protocols 106, 113, 114, 126, and 127.
  • If the incident is In progress or Just happened, the KQs “Are you at that location now?” and “Ø Select the caller party” are now asked later in the sequence on Protocols 106, 126, and 130.
  • The KQ sequence for SUSPICIOUS and WANTED vehicles on Protocol 129 has been refined to improve call processing.
