4-13-2011 | Urgent Medical ProQA Update Release Notification
An issue was introduced in the last released ProQA v3.4.3.30 build date 25 Jan 2011 and placed on the ftp site on 23 Feb 2011. In this version, if a manual protocol change from any Protocol to Protocol 28 was selected from the top Chief Complaint selection list, ProQA would not recommend a send code nor pass one to CAD. While this would be an uncommon thing to do, you need to be sure to update your ProQA version to v3.4.3.31 immediately. If your version is before v3.4.3.30, this problem would not be present, but we urge you to please update now anyway for the other changes and improvements listed. You must use the Installer on the ftp site which will also update and keep the Administration Utility and the Logic/Language files in synch with the new build.
To avoid any problems during the update, please follow all instructions in order.

10-18-2010 | AQUA (5.6) Update
A new version of AQUA Phoenix, version 5.6.1.149, has been released on our FTP site. A new build of XLerator, version 3.5.44.802, is also located on the FTP site. This XLerator build must be installed in conjunction with AQUA 5.6.1.149. These builds add many enhancements and updates.
DO NOT INSTALL AQUA 5.6 WITHOUT CONTACTING PDC AND REQUESTING A NEW DONGLE – Failure to do so will cause AQUA to cease to function.
With the release of AQUA 5.6, we have moved the licensing from the individual workstation to the server and it is now handled by XLerator. This will save the hassle of multiple dongles and a dongle on each AQUA workstation. To request a new AQUA 5.6 dongle, please contact Technical Support. Once this request is received, new dongle(s) will be coded and license codes for your versions of AQUA will be sent to you. Please contact Technical Support for additional information or questions.
To avoid any problems during the upgrade please follow all instructions in order.
Upgrading ALL VERSIONS: As always, with any software update, BACKUP your existing program and DATA.

9-21-2010 | ProQA Medical Update
A new build of Medical ProQA has been placed on the ProQA FTP site that incorporates the following fixes:
Protocol 29:
A new answer choice was added to KQ1: "Solitary motorcycle". Its logic, if uncomplicated by other high mechanism, safety issues, or priority symptoms, will select determinant 29-B-1. This differentiates this logic from auto-motorcycle.
Protocol 34:
A new answer choice was added to KQ3: "Solitary motorcycle". Its logic, if uncomplicated by other high mechanism, safety issues, or priority symptoms, will select determinant 34-B-1. This differentiates this logic from auto-motorcycle.
Case Entry:
Due to a previous recent change in the Awake/Breathing answer combination auto-recommended chief complaints (red CCs at top of list), a modification was made to the list displays to ensure that P31 was still present.
This release also now supports installation on 64bit operating systems.
Additionally, new installers for ProQA Fire and Police have been placed in their respective folders on the ProQA FTP site. These installers now support installation on 64bit operating systems.

3-31-2010 | Medical (v12.1) Update (Only NAE, USS, UKE, AUE, EUG)
Protocol 36 Pandemic/Epidemic/Outbreak (Officially Enacted), has had major updates done that are only available in Medical v12.1. The determinant descriptor codes have been re-ordered to accommodate enhanced protocol logic and new codes. As such, a backup of your current Response Configuration Utility should be completed before updating ProQA to v12.1 (see instructions, below).
Protocol 28 has been revised to incorporate the Stroke Diagnostic Tool. Twelve new Determinant Suffixes have been added that will reflect the Stroke Diagnostic?s recommendation and aid in studying and identifying the specific symptoms that are most predictive of stroke.
The new Stroke Diagnostic Tool, triggered in Protocol 28 Key Questions, will enable more accurate evaluation and identification of acute stroke patients.
In the Aspirin Diagnostic and Instructions Tool, Diagnostic Question 4 has been moved to position 1.
Protocol 27 has a new suffix "Y = Self-inflicted stab," which will be used when shunting from Protocol 25 to enhance responder safety information.
Protocol 37: Interfacility Evaluation/Transfer was designed by a special Academy task force as an alternative to Protocol 33. It is available in ProQA only.
Earlier dispatch has been added on Protocols 6 and 10 (in ProQA only) for certain patients that require critical care. If the patient is not alert and/or is having difficulty speaking between breaths, the dispatch now occurs immediately after the KQ "Does s/he have difficulty speaking (crying) between breaths?"
IMPORTANT NOTICE (V12.1 ONLY)
Due to changes to Protocol 36, the Medical Response Configuration Utility must be updated. The following process MUST be followed to ensure that existing locally defined responses are not lost:
1. Open the current ProQA Response Configuration Utility and under the file menu select export.
2. Export the .exp file to a location (Make sure rename the *.exp to a user friendly name such as "response_export.exp.")
3. Update ProQA with the installers
4. Open the new ProQA Response Configuration utility and under the file menu select import.
